A Very Scientific Live Stream
In 2016 the Evening Standard progress conversation took place at the Science Museum with Bill Gates and will.i.am. The aim was to inspire governments to increase funding into scientific education and research. This event marked the end of a visit to the UK by Bill Gates where he had championed the need for further investment into research to seek solutions to the most difficult problems in healthcare and development. The discussion took place in front of a live audience, and was streamed live through Facebook.
The live stream received around 10,000 viewers and went on to reach over 280,900 views when the video was shared on Facebook after the event. It had amassed 1,884 shares, 5,000 reactions and 2,200 comments last time we checked.
Bill Gates & will.i.am discussed their shared passion for STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics) and answered questions on the next generation of innovators. They also discussed why they believe that London is a powerhouse for creative thinking.
